Ministry of Agriculture Stops Exporting Vegetables Cultivated In Open Spaces

AlQa'dah 1, 1433, Sep 17, 2012, SPA -- Ministry of Agriculture began today applying the decision to stop exporting vegetable products cultivated in open spaces.
The export suspension is based on the Cabinet decision No. 335 and dated on 11/09/1428 H. which approved rules and procedures of rationalizing water consumption and regulation of their use in agricultural areas in all cities and villages of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The aforementioned decision ordered stoppage of exporting vegetable products cultivated in exposed areas like potatoes, water melon and others gradually, within five years.
