Saudi medical team launches its open heart program in Yemen

Launching its open heart program in the Military Hospital in Sanaa, Yemen, the Saudi medical team today performed the first cardiac surgery for children at the hospital which was opened recently.
Dr. Fikri Salem, the Director of the Heart Center in the Military Hospital in Sanaa said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency that the Saudi team has performed 50 surgical operations for children deformed hearts after having checked more than 280 outpatients.
He added that the visit of the Saudi doctors comes within the cooperation program between Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields, including cooperation in the medical fields.
