The number of fatalities of an emergency landing of the Antonov An-28 plane on the Kamchatka Peninsula has grown to 10. Spokesperson for the Far Eastern Centre of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) Olga Alkina told Itar-Tass by telephone that a child with a severe injury has died. Thus, of 14 people who were on board (12 passengers and two crewmembers) 10 people have been were killed and four injured. The An-28 plane was performing a passenger flight No 251 on the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Palana. At 12:48, local time, radio contact with the plan was lost. The missing plane was discovered from a Mi-8 helicopter on the slope of Mount Pyatibratka at a height of 900 metres in the thickets of dwarf pine. The plane made an emergency landing 10 kilometres from the Palana town in the north of the peninsula.
