Border guard patrols at Southern Dhahran Sector in Asir region prevented yesterday the entry of a number of infiltrators and smugglers who tried to enter illegally into Saudi territories. The Information Spokesman at Border Guards Command in Asir Region, Colonel Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Hamrani, pointed out that the infiltrators and smugglers had been intercepted and chased and two smugglers were arrested, noting that after searching the site, the patrols found 9 machine guns Kalashnikov, a rifle, 79 pistols, 150 gun shots, 980 Kalashnikov shots, and 9 magazines. Colonel Al-Hamrani indicated that in another site, the patrols arrested yesterday three persons trying to go out for Yemeni territories illegally; they were not carrying identity documents and they carried SR 85,000; and one of them confessed that he had stolen the money from a citizen with whom he was working in Riyadh.
