The Patrol of the Borders' Guards have successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of hashish into the Saudi borders. Commander of the Borders Guards in Najran region Brigadier Abdul-Rahman Al-Shih'ri said the four smugglers were trying to enter the Saudi territories illegally on foot through a rugged mountainous area. "But when they were detected by the Patrol of the Borders' Guards, the smugglers shot fire at the patrol, threw what they were carrying and ran away," said Al-Shih'ri, adding that when the site of the incident was combed, 36 kilograms of hashish were found.
