Pakistan: Eight Killed As Van Plunges Into River In Astore

A passenger van plunged Tuesday into Pari Shung river in District Astore of Gilgit-Baltistan that killed eight persons and injured 20 others, Geo News reported.
Police said that the accident occurred due to overloading and over-speeding. The driver lost control and the bus fell into the river, killing eight passengers on the spot while more than 20 got injured.
Locals with the help of police shifted the bodies and injured to the Civil Hospital, Astore.
