At least 10 people were killed and as many missing, while 23 others injured when a mini bus skidded off the road and plunged into the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district today, police said, PTI reported. The overloaded bus, which was on its way from Kishtwar to Thathri, skidded off the road and fell into Chenab River when the driver was negotiating a curve at Kuligarh around 1100 hours today, they said. The rescue teams assisted by civilians rushed to the spot and extricated the dead and injured from the bus, which had submerged into the river, they said, adding seven persons had died on the spot, one on way to hospital and two succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. About ten persons, who had also boarded the bus, were missing and are believed to have been washed away when the bus submerged in the river, they said. Among the dead include three women, they added.
