One militant was killed, another two were wounded and two detained during a special raid in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, the republic's Federal Security Service told Itar-Tass on Thursday. The militants specialized in assault and robbery of local residents. Most probably, money they robbed was used to finance militant gangs. Militants offered resistance, when they were found on the outskirts of the village of Ekazhevo, Nazran district. According to Ingushetia's Interior Ministry, this group of militants was also involved in a shooting attack on Ingushetia's Deputy Health Minister Sofia Esmurzieva. Law enforcers found two Kalashnikov assault rifles, two guns, shells and munitions at the area, where militants hid.
