President Mohammed Morsi of the Arab Republic of Egypt will arrive in Jeddah on Wednesday on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the first one for the Egyptian President since he assumed the presidency. Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, conveyed during his meeting with the Egyptian President yesterday, a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to President Mohammed Morsi, inviting him to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement following the meeting, Ambassador Qattan said that the Egyptian President will visit the Kingdom on Wednesday and meet with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and a number of senior officials. He noted that the Egyptian President will perform Umrah rituals during the visit. Ambassador Qattan said that the Egyptian President's visit to the Kingdom will contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries and their leaderships, expecting that the next stage will witness an increase in the volume of Saudi investments in Egypt, indicating that Egyptian-Saudi relations cannot be limited to only economic cooperation between the two countries, but they are much larger than this. On Saudi investments in Egypt, he stressed that Saudi investments in Egypt increased, but they were not reduced after the revolution, as well as trade, adding that the number of Egyptian workers in the Kingdom increased from one million and a half before the revolution to 1.65 million now.
