Saudi ambassador to Egypt Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, who is also his country's permanent representative to the Arab League, today announced that Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi is to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. In a statement following his meeting with President Morsi in Cairo, Gattan said he delivered a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud including his invitation to President Morsi to visit Saudi Arabia, noting that the visit will take place on Wednesday, end of this working week. Gattan said the President will also perform Umrah (minor Hajj) during his state visit to the Kingdom. About the visit, he said it would further contribute to enhancing relations between the two countries and the two leaderships. The coming phase is expected to witness an increase in the Saudi investments size in Egypt, he said, noting that relations between the two countries could not be confined to only economic cooperation. They are far more than that, he stated. Regarding the Saudi investments in Egypt, Ambassador Gattan confirmed that the Saudi investments as well as the trade exchange increased in Egypt and not lowered during the post-revolution. The number of Egyptian workers in the Kingdom has also augmented from an estimated 1.5 million before the revolution to 1.650 million in the current time, he said.
