Within the framework of his current official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held today a joint session of talks with Karim Ghellab, Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways of strengthening cooperation ties between the two countries, and the development of parliamentary relations between the two legislative houses. In press remarks, the Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura clarified that the meeting with the Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives was an extension of a series of meetings holding with Moroccan officials, noting that he invited the Ghellab to visit Saudi Arabia. For his part, the Speaker of Moroccan House of Representatives asserted that this visit comes in the context of strengthening the distinguished relations between Morocco and Saudi Arabia. He added that these discussions formed an opportunity "to uphold the parliamentary participation and joint action" between the Saudi Majlis Al-Shura and Moroccan House of Representatives to strengthen relations in particular with regard to parliamentary diplomacy.
