The Ministry of Health announced Wednesday that 12 new cases of swine flu had been registered in the Kingdom, following the 12 announced Tuesday. The virus was detected, according to the ministry, in three male and seven female Saudi nationals, and two foreign nationals, both male. The new cases bring the total number of registered cases in the Kingdom to 149. The Ministry of Health said in its statement that 54, or 36 percent, of all cases discovered had been brought into the Kingdom from abroad, while the remaining 95 (64 percent) were the result of contact with persons already carrying the virus. One hundred and twenty-five persons in the Kingdom have been treated for the virus and they had recovered fully, the ministry noted.
