Manila Zago scores 3rd straight win in JBL-PEAK

JEDDAH — Manila Zago of Loue defeated Bupa 116-73 in the JBL-PEAK Basketball Tournament at the Al Baik basketball court in Khalidia District here.
The winner displayed its precision outside snipping throughout the game. The loser played its heart out in the third quarter, but lost its steam in the final 10 minutes of the game. Cabalu top scored with 39 points for the winner and was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game. Ruben Del Rosario and Mc Belmi chipped in with 24 and 19 points, respectably, for the loser.
PEAK Sodas Sports and Shoe Arena principally sponsor the tournament with co-sponsors Mandhoubiyah Islamic Propagation Office, Jeddah Dawah Center, Deepvision Advertising Company and Bro Mousa Ignacio.
NRF of playing coach Gerry Acosta beat Magma Bloods 100-89. The winner's inside games in the final quarter handed it its second win in four outings. Kalis scored 25 points for the winner and was named the JBL Player of the Game. Ahmad Alonto led the loser with 21 points.
Ikea of Ahmad Penaranda edged STC 84-83. The winner took the driver's seat in the first quarter. The loser would have won the game had it not missed its final attempt as the buzzer sounded. Garcia scored 27 points for the winner and was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game. Togonon had 27 points for the loser.
Khalidia Tambayz defeated Knights 86-85. The winner finished the elimination round with a straight 5-0 win. Garcia top scored with 26 points for the winner and picked up the JBL Player of the Game honors. David scored 29 points for the loser.
RJW Jufalli Wed Group of Joko Oranza thumped UDG 116-70. Jameel Khobre collected 35 points for the winner and was named the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game. Barbosa netted 18 points for the loser. Manila Hotdogs of Loue defeated Khalidia Knights 93-67. Jason and RD scored 20 points apiece for the winner and were adjudged the JBL Players of the Game. Alvarado and Batalon had 19 points apiece for the loser.
