Magma Bloods and Manila Zago win in PEAK–JBL tourney

JEDDAH — Magma Bloods of coach Macarimban thrashed STC 100-48 in the PEAK–JBL Basketball Tournament at the Al-Baik basketball court here in Khalidia District.
Magma Bloods caught STC flat footed in the second half. To make matters worse for the loser it was terribly off-form. Macarimban scored 19 points for the winner and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player. Perito made 12 points for the loser.
This tournament is principally sponsored by PEAK Sodas Sports and Shoe Arena with the support of co-sponsors Mandhoubiyah Islamic Propagation Office, Jeddah Dawah Center, Deepvision Advertising Company and Bro Mousa Ignacio.
IKEA beat Bupa 79-70. Both teams played well. The winner applied run and gun offense in the crucial minutes of the game. Ahmed Penaranda chipped in with 25 points for the winner and was adjudged JBL Best Player. Ruben Del Rosario led the loser with 27 points.
Manila Zago of Loue prevailed over NRF 97-82. The winner dominated the shaded area in the final quarter. Navarro scored 26 points for the winner and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player. Ali and King Acosta contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively for the loser.
In Friday matches, Desert Warriors of coach Nestor Capinpin beat UDG 105-64 for its third consecutive win. Zamora topscored with 17 points for the winner and was adjudged JBL Best Player, Burgos collected 30 points for the loser.
Blazers of Imet Villaueva defeated Leylati 77-68. Razon contributed 26 points for the winner and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player. Ritual and Hugo made 19 points apiece for Leylati.
RJW Jufalli Wed Group of Ronald Uranza beat Manila Hotdogs 106-65. The loser's big men were missing, while the winner's offense became unstoppable as the match progressed. Jameel Khobre topscored with 33 points for the winner and was adjudged JBL Best Player. Loue led the loser with 16 points.
