JEDDAH — Nine engineers and officials of Binladin Group were interrogated on Saturday as the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP) started investigations into the recent crane crash at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, according to informed sources. The Bureau has started reviewing related documents, maintenance contracts and safety measures in the project. If evidence is found on the involvement of any defendant, a charge sheet will be prepared and he will be referred to the Criminal Court. The sources added that the charges will focus on negligence, causing loss of lives and damage to properties.
