dengue fever program face charges of embezzling around SR5 million from the money allocated to fight the outbreak of the mosquito borne tropical disease after the 2009 Jeddah floods. The Jeddah Administrative Court received the file against the men who were indicted following an investigation into the flood diaster. The four are charged with embezzlement, bribery, falsification of official documents and abuse of power. The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) has sent the file to the court along with evidence indicting the officials, judicial sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. Those charged include the director of a department of Jeddah Mayoralty, a senior mayoralty official, a private-sector employee and a contractor who procured material for the dengue fever program. __
