JEDDAH — Tamer Cricket Team celebrated its annual day at a local hotel here and awarded its best players in recognition of their performance in the MoneyGram CKB T20 Championship 2014-2015 and Premier League 2015 wherein Tamer team stood runner-up in both the tournaments. Among the invited guests were officials from Saudi Cricket Center (SCC), Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) executive committee members and representatives from some reputed clubs. Tamer Group Manager Ayoub Hakeem and captain Anwar Ahmed Khan presented a memento to Nadeem Nadwi, CEO of SCC. Nadwi congratulated Tamer Cricket Team for its achievements and also encouraged youngsters to come up and perform in the tournaments so that they could earn a berth in Saudi national team. Vice captain, Jaweed Ahmed, who had successfully completed the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Level 1 coaching, was presented with the certificate by Nadwi. Mohammed Ayaazuddin Erfan won the award for the best batsman of MoneyGram CKB T20 2014-2015 and Premier League 2015. Erfan scored 1,171 runs in the two tournaments with an average of 96.77. He was also the Player of the Tournament in Premier League 2015. Other players who were honored were: Syed Mohammed Afroz — Best All-rounder in MoneyGram CKB T20 2014-2015, Premier League 2015. He scored 266 runs, took 10 wickets and grabbed 9 exceptional catches. In the recently concluded Premier League 2015 he scored 382 runs, claimed 11 wickets and 12 catches. Adnaan Anwar Khan — Best Bowler for MoneyGram CKB T20 2014-2015 Tournament (18 wickets), Premier League 2015 (11 wickets). He was also presented with a certificate by Nadwi for representing Saudi national U-19 team in ACC tournament in Malaysia. Syed Noor Mohammed Shah — Best Bowler in Premier League 2015 (14 wickets). — SG
