OSN clinches Asir MoneyGram title

ABHA — OSN defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by 5 wickets to clinch the Asir Cricket League (ACL) crown in the MoneyGram CKB 2015 tournament sponsored by MoneyGram Money Transfer Agency under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre.
Batting first Khyber Pakhtunkhwa posted 185 for 5 as Zakir smashed 83 in 46 balls (10 fours and 4 sixes) and Rameez 20. Nabeel took 2 wickets. OSN achieved the target of 186 for the loss of 5 wickets in the 18th over. Roofi hit 41, Aijaz 32 and Hamid 45. Waqas claimed 3 wickets.
A colorful awards ceremony took place after the match. Rahat Ali Choudhry and Osama Nadwi represented Saudi Cricket Center. The ACL office-bearers were also present along with guests Rana Shafaqat, Afzal Butt, Nadeem Butt, Malik Riyaz, Majed Qureshi, Choudhry Riyaz, Waheed Ahsan, Malik Javed, Mohammed Afzal, Arshad Butt and Asghar Khan.
The winner and the runner-up cups were awarded by Rahat Ali and Osama Nadwi. Afzal Butt was named the Man of the Tournament, Shahid the Best Bowler and Babar the Best Batsman. — SG
