JEDDAH — The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) said the northeasterly Seba winds caused extreme temperatures in Jeddah, especially the eastern parts, on Thursday. The temperature in the city reached 50 degrees Celsius at noon, the PME said, adding that the heat would drop to normal average later in the day when the easterly winds shift direction. It said the weather was very hot in the eastern, central and northern parts of the Kingdom, accompanied by active surface winds rising dust and limiting visibility.
