RIYADH — Civil Defense search teams recovered late Tuesday the body of a Saudi man who drowned while swimming in Namar Dam a day earlier. Riyadh Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Mohammad Al-Hamady said the rescue team, assisted by scuba divers, had been searching continuously for the man since he went missing in the 16-meter-deep dam at around 8:15 a.m. Monday. The body was handed over to the victim's family. The man had gone to the dam with two of his to swim but only two of them had got into the water. His friends called the Civil Defense when he failed to come back, Hamady said.
