Mishal Al-Otaibi Saudi Gazette RIYADH — A Syrian girl who went missing nine days ago in Al-Hayer Valley in south Riyadh was found dead on Saturday, announced the Civil Defense in Riyadh. Zahra's headless body was found floating in the muddy water 19 kilometers away from where she went missing, the directorate's spokesman Capt. Muhammad Al-Hamadi said. The body was placed in the morgue, he added. The spokesman said Zahra would be handed over to her parents once all investigations and medical examinations have been completed. The search took nine days because of the grassy and bushy area and the high-level water in Al-Hayer Valley, according to Al-Hamadi. Over 250 rescuers and divers with the aid of police dogs had been searching for the girl.
