RIYADH — A Saudi man drowned in Namar Valley Dam on Monday. Riyadh Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Mohammad Al-Hamady said the Civil Defense received reports of a man who drowned in the dam, which is 16 meters deep, at around 8:15 a.m. He said man and two of his Saudi friends went to swim in the dam but only two of them got into the water. One of the two went swimming failed to return and his friends reported the incident to the Civil Defense after a while. The Civil Defense searched for the victim's body all day and night in vain. The Civil Defense closed all roads leading to the dam and is continuing the search.
