SEATTLE — The Angels' Andrew Heaney outdueled the Mariners' Taijuan Walker to lead Los Angeles to a 10-3 win over Seattle in the American League Sunday. Heaney (3-0) threw seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits, to earn his third win in four starts this season.
Angels third baseman David Freese had two doubles, including a two-run hit off the top of the wall in the sixth inning that was followed by catcher Chris Iannetta's two-run homer that gave Los Angeles a 9-0 lead.
Walker (7-7) gave up seven hits and seven runs, six earned, and hurt his cause with a run-scoring throwing error in the sixth inning.
Yankees 8, Red Sox 6: Alex Rodriguez drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning double as the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 8-6.
The designated hitter's shot into the gap in left-center was one of three doubles in New York's three-run sixth inning.
Nathan Eovaldi (9-2) earned the win for New York as he allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out four in five innings.
Royals 11, Blue Jays 10: Kendrys Morales and Paulo Orlando homered and Lorenzo Cain had three hits as the Kansas City Royals outslugged the Toronto Blue Jays 11-10.
Morales hit a three-run homer in a six-run first inning, though the Royals blew a 7-0 lead in the sixth inning when the Blue Jays scored eight runs. Twins 7, Tigers 1: Kyle Gibson threw seven innings of one-run ball, leading the Minnesota Twins to a 7-1 win over the Detroit Tigers.
Gibson allowed just one unearned run in the second inning and four singles for his eighth victory that lowered his season ERA to 2.85.

Giants 4, Phillies 2: Catcher Andrew Susac belted a three-run home run in a four-run fourth inning while rookie Chris Heston won his ninth game as the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2.
Angel Pagan and Buster Posey had three singles each for the Giants.
Rockies 11, Braves 3: Center fielder Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run single before shortstop Troy Tulowitzki hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to help the Colorado Rockies to an 11-3 win over the Atlanta Braves.
Mets 5, Diamondbacks 3: Left fielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit three homers to lift the Mets to a 5-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Nieuwenhuis homered to left off Diamondbacks right-hander Rubby De La Rosa leading off the second to give the Mets a 1-0 lead then hit a two-run, two-out homer to left-center off De La Rosa in the third inning to extend the Mets' lead to 4-1.
He blasted a leadoff homer off right-hander Randall Delgado in the fifth inning to put New York ahead 5-2.
Marlins 8, Reds 1: Justin Bour had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Miami Marlins past the Cincinnati Reds 8-1.
Marlins starter Dan Haren (7-5) earned the win, allowing five hits, three walks and one run in six innings.

Inter-League Padres 2, Rangers 1: Right-hander Tyson Ross pitched into the seventh inning as the San Diego Padres edged Texas 2-1.
Ross gave up just three hits in his 6-2/3 innings and struck out six while walking just two.
