RIYADH — Expatriates here denounced the cowardly terror attacks in the Eastern Province during a recent event here organized by Versatile and Intellective Productions (VIP), attended by some 700 Asian expat families mostly youths. “Saudi Arabia is a peaceful country, many of us are born and raised here, we are the protectors of this holy land so any threat to Saudi Arabia cannot be accepted by us and we are standing together with our Saudi brethren under the leadership of King Salman,” said VIP director Omair Sheikh in his remarks. Writer Waqar Naseem Wamiq was the chief guest. Other guests included PMLN representatives, Black – The Band, Aspire Productions House, Ms. Sajida Chaudhary, Ms. Sabiha Hillal and Fanorama from FMJ Productions. RJ Fawad and Nazim Amin started off the event followed by VIP welcoming the guests by Sheikh. The action packed night began with the beautiful and mesmerizing voice of Sikandar Ali, a well-known solo singer, followed by some talented singers Vanessa and Nafina, who enticed the crowd with their enthralling performance and melodious singing. The audience were captivated by the special appearances of Black Cinema Productions and Princess Nadia a singer from Philippines. Nadia with her enchanting voice and presentation of some famous Bollywood tracks had the audience on its toes. The entertainment session was then carried out later by Naqsh — The Band, a professional musical band from Riyadh. Finally, DJ UK (Usama Khan) rocked the show with live spinning and creating a sensation in audience by dancing on the stage. “Riyadh is a fascinating place, tonight we have our guests from Jeddah, Khobar, Dammam attending this entertainment evening and they are mainly from Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi and Filipino communities,” said operations manager of VIP Adil Sheikh. “The event was also attended by the representatives of Turkish Embassy. The Turkish affiliates participated as vendors and offered the attendees exclusive travel packages of Turkish Airlines. The event was mainly sponsored by De Maharajaa Restaurant (Khobar) as the platinum sponsor followed by other supporting sponsors such as FRIENDI Mobile, Fawri Money transfer, and Care Team of Edmark International – represented by Sameer Al Makrani. In addition to these, an Asian Restaurant Khana Khazana were the Gourmet Sponsors for the event who catered the attendees with their delicious food and beverages. SK Kollections sponsored the event by providing gift bags for ladies, followed by SHE ladies parlor who provided discount vouchers for their services.” The event media was taken care by Aly Jz and Saud Randhava who captured some memorable moments by their professional photography. RJ Fawad and Nazim Amin were up to the mark and conquered the audience with confidence whereas Mohammed Naffay and Omair Sheikh were exuberant hosts in the later half and interacted with audience.
