JEDDAH — A seminar titled “Esteqbal-e-Ramadan (Welcome Ramadan)” was organized by Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT), a social organization here recently. Many attended to know more about the holy month of Ramadan in the light of teachings of Qur'an and Hadith. Imam and Khateeb of Abubakr mosque in Jeddah, Maulana Banaeem Khateeb, said: “Taking some time out from our hectic lives for a good cause and to listen to something beneficial is always appreciable, but it's a must to apply those good things in our daily lives. “Allah has given the holy month of Ramadan to us for gaining rewards from Him as every good act will be rewarded multifold. “Though we have limited time in this world we struggle hard to make this time virtuous but do not think about the time of Akhira where we live forever.” He also emphasized on the need of being disciplined in Ramadan. “We should use our time in prayers and doing good deeds as it will help us to get ready for post Ramadan,” Banaeem said. Shaikh-ul-Fiqah Jamia Nizamia and President and founder Abul Hasanat Islamic Research Center in Hyderabad Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, said: “Paying Zakat in proper Islamic way is a way to gain Allah's blessings, helping needy is a key aspect of Muslims. They should think of setting aside a proportion for those in need and this act purifies their possessions.” He also shed light on the importance of Zakat and how one should pay it. “Allah has given us a chance by giving this holy month in our lives, and to avail this chance to get benefit and rewards of this month. Those people are lucky who avail the blessings of this month and gain reward for their good deeds.” Chief adviser of the trust Aleem Khan Falaki shed light on the activities of the trust and applauded the contribution of the Hyderabadi community in Jeddah. KTT's general secretary Syed Khaja Viqaruddin and overseas trustee and patron Mohammed Shameem Kausar also addressed the gathering. Viqaruddin briefed about KTT's educational activities and emphasized on female education as educated mothers can build an educated society. He said: “I wish we all avail the chance of doing good deeds in this blessed month. We should start our spiritual journey from the month of Shaban so that we can prepare well and welcome Ramadan with the best of our physical and spiritual health.” President KTT Ahmed Abdul Hakeem said: “KTT will remain supportive in educational field to empower our generation.” Viqar Anwar praised KTT's activities and Ather Farooqi said, “It is our religious duty to serve our community and needy people. I appreciate KTT committee members for this noble work and it's a commendable job.” Viqaruddin, Farhat Siddiqui and Saleem Qadri, presented gifts to speakers, which was followed by a question-answer session Hafiz and Qari Noor Mohd recited verses from the Qur,an before the program commenced and it was followed by a Naat from Syed Khalid Madani and Yousufuddin.
