‘Allah has given Ramadan for awarding good deeds'

JEDDAH — A seminar titled “Esteqbal-e-Ramadan (Welcome Ramadan)” was organized by Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT), a social organization, at a local restaurant here recently.
Maulana Banaeem Khateeb and Imam of Abubakr mosque in Jeddah said: “Allah has given the holy month of Ramadan to us for gaining good reward from Allah as every good act will reward 70 times from Allah. Laylat al-Qadr is a golden night, we should search this night in Ramadan to achieve its full benefits.”
He also emphasized on the need of being disciplined in Ramadan.
“We should use our time in prayers and doing good deeds as it will help us to get ready for post Ramadan,” Banaeem said, adding, “We should seek forgiveness from Allah because Allah will be please and forgive those people who ask forgiveness.”
He stressed on the need of being particular in observing prayers; and avoid evil acts in this holy month of Ramadan.
“We are lucky enough to get this holy month again in our lives, we should take advantage from it by devoting time to remember Allah,” he said.
He praised the efforts of KTT for organizing this seminar successful.
Shaikh-ul-Fiqah Jamia Nizamia and President and founder Abul Hasanat Islamic Research Center in Hyderabad Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi Qadri, said: “Allah's blessings will start from the first day of this holy month, helping needy is a key aspect of rich Muslims. They should think their possessions are purified by setting aside a proportion for those in need. People should give in a pleasing manner and not proudly.”
He also shed light on the importance of Zakat and how one should pay it. “Those people are lucky who avail the blessings of this month and gain reward for their good deeds.”
He appreciates KTT' commendable effort on its educational activities program.
Chief adviser of the trust Aleem Khan Falaki shed light on the activities of the trust and applauded the contribution of the Hyderabadi community in Jeddah.
KTT's general secretary Syed Khaja Viqaruddin and overseas trustee and patron Mohammed Shameem Kausar also addressed the gathering.
Viqaruddin said: “I wish we all avail the chance of doing good deeds in this blessed month. We should start our spiritual journey from the month of Shaban so that we can prepare well and welcome Ramadan with the best of our physical and spiritual health.
He added: “I am thankful to the speakers for sharing their valuable thoughts.”
President KTT Ahmed Abdul Hakeem said: “Allah has given us a chance by giving this holy month again in our lives, we should avail this chance to get benefit and rewards of this month.”
Gifts were presented to speakers by Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Farooq Ahmed, Imran Kausar, and Azmat Imran.
Abbas Khan recited verses from the Quran before the program commenced and it was followed by a Naat from Syed Khalid Madani and Amen Ansari.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mohammed Shameem Kausar.
