JEDDAH — Saudi stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Transport and Industrial Investment sectors led shares lower. At the close in Saudi Arabia, the stock benchmark Tadawul All Share Index fell 0.18 percent at 9,544.51 points. The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi United Cooperative Insurance, which rose 9.76% or 1.53 points to trade at 17.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co added 5.75% or 0.77 points to end at 14.15 and Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance was up 2.99% or 1.01 points to 34.80 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group, which fell 6.87% or 2.33 points to trade at 31.60 at the close. SABB Takaful declined 4.58% or 2.25 points to end at 46.90 and Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance was down 3.83% or 2.23 points to 56.00. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 87 to 77. Shares in Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.99% or 1.01 to 34.80. Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.50% or 0.30 to $60.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $63.92 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.50 to trade at $1177.30 a troy ounce. — SG/Agencies
