JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Multi Investment and Real Estate Development sectors led shares higher. At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.14%. The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance, which rose 5.90% or 5.45 points to trade at 97.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi United Cooperative Insurance added 5.71% or 1.20 points to end at 22.20 and Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company was up 5.47% or 4.45 points to 85.75 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean & Gulf Insurance Co, which fell 9.28% or 5.73 points to trade at 56.00 at the close. Al-Babtain Power &Telecom Co declined 6.19% or 2.98 points to end at 45.20 and Saudi Airlines Catering Company was down 6.15% or 11.24 points to 171.50. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 109 to 52. Shares in The Company for Coop. Insurance rose to 3-years highs; up 5.90% or 5.45 to 97.75. Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.14% or 0.08 to $56.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.67% or 0.41 to hit $62.49 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.80 to trade at $1196.30 a troy ounce. — SG/Agencies
