JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Industrial Investment and Multi Investment sectors led shares higher. At the close, stock benchmark Tadawul All Share Index gained 1.15% to hit a new 3-months high at 9,725.17 points. The best performers of the session on the Tadawul were AXA Cooperative Insurance Company, which rose 9.97% or 2.24 points to trade at 24.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Salama Cooperative Insurance Co added 9.70% or 2.75 points to end at 31.10 and Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co was up 7.19% or 1.17 points to 17.45 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were Arriyadh Development Co., which fell 3.61% or 0.90 points to trade at 24.05 at the close. United Int Transportation Company declined 3.51% or 2.22 points to end at 61.00 and Almarai Company was down 1.83% or 1.72 points to 92.25. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 148 to 15. Shares in United Int Transportation Company fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.51% or 2.22 to 61.00. Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.79% or 0.46 to $57.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.85% or 0.55 to hit $65.40 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.32% or 15.80 to trade at $1178.50 a troy ounce. — SG
