Mazhar scores fastest WPCA century

JEDDAH — Al-Saudi-XI recorded the highest total ever in a Morning T20 match when it belted 318 in 18 overs with Mazhar blasting 118 in Modern Pioneer Morning Cup organized by WPCA.
Emper Perfumes crushed Awesome-XI by 107 runs. Emper Perfumes racked up 257 for 2 as Usman Amjad blasted 147 runs off 55 balls with 11 fours and 13 sixes. Babar made 46 and Imtiyaaz remained unbeaten on 32. Awesome-XI could only get to 150 as Waqas hit 57 in 27 balls and Abdul Basit 26. Siddique Ilyas grabbed 5 for 35 and Ejaz 4 for 24.
Gujarat Eagles downed Universal-XI by 25 runs. Gujarat Eagles produced 146 as Mukhtar Ahmed made 33 and Waqas 56 in 23 balls. Bilal took 3-27, Shakeel 2-29, Ali 2-26 and Owaiz 2-37. Universal-XI, in reply, was left stranded at 121 for 9 as Shahzad top scored with 29 and Asif Malik hit 20. Mukhtar claimed 3 for 18, Ajmal 3 for 28 and Adil 2-18.
Rising Stars chasing the target of 130 against Deloitte was home in 68 balls for the loss of one wicket. Abdul Wahab scored 41, Arfan 56 not out off 22 balls and Yasir 28 not out.
Jeddah Challengers prevailed over Royal Brothers by 5 wickets. Royal Brothers posted 150 for 8 as Dr. Shoaib hit 48, Munir 32 and Haneef 22. Akram took 2-19 and Omer 2-21.
Jeddah Challengers got to the victory target of 153 for 5 in 107 balls as Rizwan played a match-winning innings of 55 in 45 balls. Omar Khurshid hit 42.
Stallions beat Hanifa Tigers by 18 runs. Stallions produced 133 for 7 as Abdulrehman made 25, Abdulraheem 20 and Waqas 25. Usman took 3-24 and Ashiq 2-35. Hanifa Tigers, in chase, was stranded at 115 for 7 as Omair hit 34 and Fahim 24. Osama took 2-21.
Al-Saudi crushed Indian Knight Riders by 226 runs. Al-Saudi plundered a record total in 18 overs in T20 format at WPCA. Mazhar Abbasi blasted 118 in 31 balls. He reached his century off 25 balls, another record at WPCA. He broke the record of the fastest century by Sher Bahadur (100 off 26 balls). Nazeer Farooqui hammered 80 in 25 balls, while keeper Humayun hit 39 and Ali unbeaten 23. Feroz had 2-48.
Indian Knight Riders was bundled out for 92. Nadeem hit 43. Munzir Kidwai scalped 4 for 17.
ALJ Toyota continued its winning streak against ADI-XI by 117 runs. ALJ Toyota racked up 207 for 6 as Tanveer Zamane stroked 30, Basheer 35, Imran 39 and Azeem 41. Faiz took 3 for 30. ADI-XI could manage only 90 for 8 as Gufran Ansari made 16. Tanveer Zamane grabbed 3 for 7 and Bilal 3 for 23.
