RIYADH – The Ministry of Labor Wednesday started receiving online applications for new recruitment offices to act as middlemen in recruiting domestic workers. The applications will be processed through the ministry's e-gate https://ror.mol.gov.sa. Ziyad Al-Sayegh, undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor for client services and labor relations, listed the following criteria for obtaining a license: 1- The applicant should be a Saudi university graduate. 2- He should be at least 30 years old. 3- He should devote his time to managing the office himself. 4- He should not have obtained a license to practice any activity mentioned in the bylaw for recruitment companies and those providing labor services. Al-Sayegh said the ministry will verify all the conditions for the issuance of a license. Then a preliminary approval will be granted. The applicant should visit the concerned authorities within 30 working days of the approval to obtain a commercial register and a municipality license. The office should be at least 100 sq. meters in area. The office owner must present a bank guarantee for SR450,000 that is valid for three years.
