NEW YORK — Wade Miley pitched eight dominant innings and Mike Napoli continued his strong week with another home run and four RBIs to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels Sunday. Miley (4-4) retired the first 14 batters he saw and allowed just one run on four hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Koji Uehara then pitched a perfect ninth.
Napoli's two-run homer in the second was his eighth of the season and fourth in his last three games.
He added a two-run double in the eighth and shortstop Xander Bogaerts collected four hits for Boston.
