Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Council of Ministers on Monday commended the Saudi-led coalition command for its full adherence to the humanitarian truce and its self-restraint. The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace here, noted that the coalition's self-restraint stemmed from its commitment to the goals of the Operation Restoration of Hope and its keenness to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet denounced truce violation by the Houthi militias through their repeated aggression on the Kingdom's borders and inside Yemen since ceasefire came into force last Tuesday. While welcoming the convening of the Riyadh Conference on “Saving Yemen and Building the Federal State” under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Cabinet expressed hope that the three-day conference will reach an agreement to achieve Yemen's security and stability and fulfill the aspirations of its people by restoring legitimacy in the country. The Cabinet thanked King Salman for laying the foundation stone for the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work. Al-Turaifi said King Salman briefed the Cabinet on his phone call with US President Barack Obama during which both leaders affirmed deep, strategic and historical relations between the two friendly countries and their keenness to further strengthen them in all fields. The King thanked Obama and the leaders of GCC states for the positive outcome of the Camp David summit, and the joint commitment for strategic partnership between the two sides in building closer relations in all areas, including cooperation in defense and security fields.
