RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman praised the efficiency and capabilities of the Armed Forces in making the ‘Operation Decisive Storm' a resounding success. Presiding over the weekly session of the Council of Ministers at Al-Yamamah Palace here on Monday, the King, who is also the supreme commander of the Armed Forces, noted that the operation enabled the coalition forces to achieve air supremacy over Yemen so as to prevent any aggression against the Kingdom and neighboring states, the Saudi Press Agency reported. In a statement to SPA following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Turaifi said King Salman highlighted the successful role of the brave pilots of Falcon jets together with their brothers from the coalition member countries in eliminating the threat to the Kingdom and its neighboring states. The King thanked all the military sectors taking part in the operation. The Cabinet thanked President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi of Yemen for his letter in which he thanked and appreciated King Salman and the leaders of coalition states for the immediate response to his appeal for military intervention in Yemen to protect the Yemeni people from aggressive acts of the Houthi militias and their allies. Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet noted that the operation “Restoration of Hope” has been started to restore security and stability in Yemen and keep it away from foreign domination and intervention. The Cabinet expressed deep sympathy over the devastating earthquake in Nepal that resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and injuries to thousands others. Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet approved regulations pertaining to the creation of the National Commission for Lawyers. According to the regulations, the commission will have independent identity and financial powers. The Cabinet also approved amending Article 15 of the Civil Aviation Tariff Law approved by a royal decree nearly 10 years ago. According to the amendment, the fare and rent structures shall be governed by the set criteria and within the competitive regional and international fares.
