DAMMAM — Noble Badminton Club conducted 3rd Mega Singles Tournament at Khaldiyah courts here recently. Around 150 players — ranging from Premier to Flight 6 and Junior and Sub-Junior Boys — took part in the two-day event.
The event saw a number of thrilling encounters. Being the only singles tournament conducted in Eastern Province, Noble Club was able to make the event a grand one.
Abdul Hakkim of Al-Kabeer inaugurated the event. Noble Club President Hassan Mohammed handed a souvenir commemorating the event to Abdul Hakkim in the presence of Khalid Saleh, club chairman, and Aslam, tournament director.
Dignitaries presented the trophies to winners and runners-up. Baig and Salim were honored with mementos during the ceremony for their support in their respective fields. Players of different nationalities (Indian, Filipino, Pakistani, Indonesian, Malaysian) from Riyadh, Jubail, Dammam and Al-Khobar took part in the event.

The closing ceremony was attended by Salim (Pravasi Association), Baig, ex-president of Badminton Association, Dr. Abdul Salam (KFUPM), Abdul Waris (KFUPM), Salam (Indomie) and Sabu (Gulf Madhyamam).
The tournament was conducted under the guidance of Hassan Md, Khalid Saleh, Aslam, Ashraf, Joby, Riyas, Sharafudheen, Cheriyan, Joseph, Ansil, Mujeeb, Azeem, Faisal, Jaafar, Shinu, Shameer, Abdullah, Vijay, Saajan, Siraj and other Noble members. — SG
