YANBU — Al-Muzain humbled Pak Crescent ‘A' by 9 wickets to lift YACA MoneyGram CKB T20 title here recently. The tournament was sponsored by MoneyGram and organized by Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah Cricket Association (YACA) under the patronage of Saudi Cricket Centre. Pak Crescent ‘A' won the toss and elected to bat. Naveed bowled Arif for a golden duck in the very first over and thereafter wickets kept falling at regular intervals. There was a third wicket partnership of 40 between Zahid (27) and Nadeem (15) that helped the team reach 160 for the loss of 7 wickets. Sohail took 3-30, while captain Israr bagged 2-28. In reply, Al-Muzain openers Shoaib and Naveed started briskly and they put on 50 in 3.6 overs. Shoaib (44) fell to Nadeem with the score on 78. Naveed and Israr then played freely and achieved the required runs without losing any more wickets in 12.1 overs. Naveed remained unbeaten on 84 with 5 fours and 9 sixes and Israr was 29 not out. Naveed was declared Man of the Final for his all-round performance (84 not out and 1-38). Naveed was also named Best Batsman of the Tournament (345 runs). A. Sarfraz was declared Best Bowler (14 wickets), while Mohammad Afzal Saleem was named the Player of the Tournament (405 runs and 10-78). Hood Awwad Al-Hetairshi, Director, General Utilities Department, Royal Commission of Yanbu; Abdul Jabbar, Director, Social Service Department, Royal Commission of Yanbu; and Nadeem Nadwi, CEO of Saudi Cricket Centre, were the guests of honor and distributed trophies and cash prizes to the award winners. Earlier Akram Quershi, President of Yanbu Cricket Association (YACA), welcomed all and thanked the distinguished guest for coming and distributing trophies and cash prizes among the players. A cash prize of SR1,000 was given to A. Naveed of Al-Muzain (Man of the Final); SR500 to A. Naveed of Al-Muzain (Best Batsman); SR500 Sarfraz of Pak Crescent ‘A' (Best Bowler); SR1,000 to Mohammed Afzal (Man of the Tournament); SR3,000 to Pak Crescent ‘A' (runner-up); and SR5,000 to winner Al-Muzain (champion). — SG
