Anas, Amjad and Yahya dazzle in WPCA Afternoon MoneyGram

JEDDAH — Anas Malik hit a century, while Amjad and Yahya grabbed 5 wickets each in the WPCA Afternoon MoneyGram T20 Tournament here.
Five matches took place in the tournament sponsored by MoneyGram under the umbrella of Saudi cricket centre (SCC) and managed by WPCA.
In the first match Hala International School edged Marine Services by 13 runs. Hala racked up 194 for 5 thanks to a dazzling century by skipper Anas Malik, who hammered 112 in 63 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes and Aftab Malik added 23. Marine Services could muster only 181 for 5 as Majed made 60 in 39 balls, Ahmed 36 and Shakeel 34 not out. Shahzad Asif took 2-25.
MCC humbled Lothers by 44 runs. MCC plundered 221 for 5 through Riyaz (83 in 39 balls), Naeem (37) and Hamid Khan (39 not out). Rameez scalped 2-42. Lothers, in reply, was bowled out for 177. Badushah made 51 in 27 balls, Waseem 54 in 23 balls and Yasser 21. Babar claimed 4-41, Ijaz 2-28 and Sarfaraz 2-25.
Elaf Advance downed Azizya Elegant by 7 wickets. Azizya posted 173 for 8 thanks to Sultan (73) and Fahad (44). Imran had 2-35 and Hussain 2-34. Elaf was home (176) for the loss of 3 wickets. Usman scored 77 in 25 balls, Ehtesham 47 and Gulzar 25.
Hala Academy Blue thrashed Choudhry-XI by 49 runs. Hala produced 169 for 5 through Mohammed Khan scoring 50, Talha 50 and Shahbaz 26 not out. Yahya tried his best with 5-31. Choudhry-XI, in reply, was restricted to 120. Amjad bowled devastatingly to secure 5 wickets for 12 runs. Zahoor stroked 27.
Al-Mabani trounced APF by 6 wickets. APF was bowled out for 132 thanks to Murtuza's 48 and Maqsood's 27. Amjad scalped 4-25 and Usman Gulab 2-29. Al-Mabani successfully chased 135-4 in 91 balls with Adnan Khan making 77 in 44 balls and Tanveer 28. Murtuza claimed 2-39.
