Batsmen and bowlers share honors in WPCA tourneys

JEDDAH — The 4th week matches in WPCA Summer Tournament saw Hassan Malik, Shahjahan, Amir Mughal, Ijaz Butt, Sulaiman, Shafeeq and Sohail shine and take their teams to victory.
MoneyGram Championship
In the match played under MoneyGram banner, My Care Hala thrashed WPCA champion MBCC by nine wickets. Batting first, MBCC posted 148 for 8 through Waqas (38), Azhar (39) and Rashid (35 not out). My Care Hala reached the target in 68 balls with 9 wickets in hand as prolific Qamar Abbas remained unbeaten on 98 off 40 balls (7 fours and 7 sixes), while Kashif added 24 and Majed 17 not out.
Premier Summer
Hala Friends defeated Al-Ghamdi Cricket Stars by 96 runs. Hala Friends racked up 202 for 9 as Hassan Malik hit 78 in 34 balls and Nasir 37.
Ali and Faisal took 3-32 and 3-33, respectively, while Sufiyan had 2. Al-Ghamdi Cricket Stars could only get to 106 with Sufiyan making 28. Two wickets each was taken by Waqas and Omair.
Earlier in the week, Hala Friends downed Pepsi Deccan Knights by 52 runs. Hala Friends piled up 188 for 7 thanks to Saleem, who made 52. Ishaq took 3 wickets to restrict PDK to 136 as Najeeb added 39.
In another match, IDB thrashed Al-Ghamdi Cricket Stars by 9 wickets. Al-Ghamdi posted 168 for 6 with Malik Aqeel making 48. IDB was home in 97 balls thanks to Mustafa's unbeaten knock of 109 in 59 balls (9 fours and 5 sixes).
Summer Afternoon
Hala International School humbled United Cricket Club by 117 runs. Hala School piled up 198 through Tariq Jamal (67), Anas Malik (26), Shahjahan (28) and Mohsin Mirza (25).
Amir took 4 for 23, while Yasir and Safaraz claimed 2 wickets each. UCC was bundled out for 81. Sarfaraz scored 31. Sami bagged 3-9, Shahjahan 3-26 and Shahzad 2.
Nestle Milo punished Hala Academy White by 6 wickets. Hala White posted 164 for 9 as Aseer scored 61 off 40 balls and Furqan 25. Bilal Malik got 3-28, while Iftikhar and Sher Bahadur claimed 2 each. Nestle Milo reached 165 for 4 as Ijaz Butt hammered 67 and Azeem 26. Adil took 2 wickets.
Elaf Advance defeated AMI Juffali by 54 runs. Elaf Advance racked up 178 for 7 as Basit remained unbeaten on 58 and Azeem hit 29. Rafi Gujjar scalped 3-14 and Emad 2.
AMI Juffali was restricted to 124 for 9 as Imran top scored with 47. Siddique claimed 3-20 and Adnan 2.
Jotun Paints crushed Aziziyah Elegant by 98 runs. Jotun Paints put on 230 for 6 as Shafeeq blasted 60, Sulaiman 57, Sajid 31 and Shabbir 29. Majjid grabbed 2 wickets.
Aziziyah Elegant could only score 132 for 8. Khalid hit 52. Aamir took 4 for 42 and Sulaiman 2.
Fuchs Alhamrani won against Choudhry XI by 9 wickets. Alhamrani raced to the target of 100 in 53 balls with 9 wickets in hand. Abdulghafour remained unbeaten on 60 and Irfan Anjum 29.
Hyundai had the last laugh against MCC by 6 wickets. MCC using the track first scored 167 for 3 as Imran hit 70, Naeem 33 and Ramazan 30. Hyundai reached home (169) for the loss of 4 wickets in 97 balls as Sohail stroked 60 and Ayaz 28. Mustafa grabbed 3-36.
In the previous week matches, Hala Blue thrashed Contraco by 8 wickets, Hala School got the better of Marine services, Crown Blue humbled AOT Youngsters by 82 runs, APF trounced Al-Safri by 10 wickets, MCH Green downed ET Zone, Hala White defeated UCC, Elaf Advance had the last laugh against Thales Group, Aziziyah Elegant downed Zultrack by 4 runs and Fuchs Alhamrani beat MCC.
