RIYADH — A Saudi man was initially sentenced to three years in prison, fined SR1,000 and banned from traveling for five years after being involved in a demonstration in support of imprisoned terrorists in Riyadh and other crimes. Riyadh Penal Court heard the man was hired to participate in the demonstration and was also involved in an assassination attempt against important personnel. He planned to transfer a large sum of money to Syrian refugees in Jordan without the court's permission. The court heard that the man was funding and training two men to go into battle in unstable countries and his failure to report the terrorist activities he was aware of was also considered a felony.
