Man planning to join Syria fighting jailed

RIYADH — A man was on Monday sentenced to prison for a year and a half and banned from travel for five years for planning to cross the borders of the Kingdom and fight in Syria. A Riyadh Penal Court source said the man was sheltering a number of fighters for the war in Syria and was assigned to deliver SR8,000 and some clothes.
