JEDDAH — Shahid of Hala White blasted a ton in 32 balls and all-rounder Mohsin Mirza of Hala School dazzled in the WPCA Afternoon Summer Tournament in the 11th week at the WPCA grounds here recently.
AOT Youngsters defeated Zultrack by 65 runs. AOT Youngsters produced 185 for 8 through Pervez Baig (78 in 59 balls) and Ghulam Malik (26). Ali scalped 2-33, Anas 2-35, Atif 2-15, while a wicket each went to Usman and Hamid. In reply, Zultrack was restricted to 120. Atif scored 26 and Aqeel Sethi 25. Asif took 3-39 and Salman 2.
Asian Plastic Factory downed SFCC by 5 wickets. SFCC posted 137 for 4 with Abdulzeez making 62. Mustafa claimed 2-14.
APF, in reply, achieved the victory target of 138 for 5 in 92 balls through Murtuza (60) and Abdulrehman (29 not out). Bilal took 2-37.
Hala International School trounced Limitless by 2 wickets. Limitless was bowled out for 148. Amir topscored with 34. Mohsin Mirza grabbed 4 for 30, Naseer 3-16 and Sami 2-20. Hala International School reached 149 for 8 in 103 balls as skipper Mohsin Mirza Baig, exhibiting fine all-round performance, smashed 52 and Junaid 39. Amjad took 3-23.
Hala Academy Blue won against Choudhry-XI by 7 wickets. Choudhry-XI posted 150 for 6 as Azeem hit 33. Ijaz Butt claimed 2-29. Hala Academy Blue was home with 151 for 3 in 108 balls. Hafiz Shehzad smashed 68 in 52 balls and Mohammed made 39 as the two added 87 for the first wicket.
Al-Safri-XI prevailed over Hyundai by 6 wickets.
Hyundai batting lineup could not capitalize on winning the toss. It managed only 144 with Ayaz contributing 31 and Pervez 24. Waseeq Sherwani took 2-38, Muneeb 2-13 and Waqas 2-6.
Al-Safri had little difficulty to reach 145 for 4 in 81 balls as Rehan hammered 62 in 23 balls and Amer Zahoor compiled 50. The two added valuable 96 runs for the second wicket.
Hala Academy White thrashed Arab Lankans by 125 runs. Hala Academy White racked up 208 through prolific Shahid blasting 109 in 33 balls with 10 sixes and 9 fours. His 50 came in just 13 balls. He added 74 runs with Anas Malik (14). Furqan made 24. Ramazan grabbed 3-27, while Omer and Mohammed took 2 each. Arab Lankans were all out for 83 as Ibrahim claimed 3 for 22, Adel 2-12 and Sanjeev 2-27. However, Siraj compiled 47.
