Attempt to smuggle weapons foiled

ABHA — Border Guard officers in Dhahran Al-Janoub in Asir Province foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons consisting of 28 machine guns, 82 different types of pistols, and 75 handgun ammunition cartridges, said spokesman Brig. Abdullah Ahmad Al-Hamrani. Several men who were involved in the smuggling attempt were arrested. Al-Hamrani warned that vigilant officers would not allow anyone to disrupt the security of the Kingdom.
