NAJRAN — A Civil Defense team in Najran's Abu Thamer area rescued a Yemeni infiltrator who fell down a dangerous 80-meter high slope during his attempt to cross illegally into the Kingdom. Spokesman for the Directorate of Civil Defense in Najran region Lt. Col. Ali Al-Shahrani said the operations room received a call from the Border Guards about the incident in the Sarou Siqam sector. A rescue team rushed to the location and removed the man from the bottom of the steep escarpment. The rescue attempt took five hours in very cold weather. The infiltrator is in good health and was handed over to local authorities.
