JEDDAH — In the last week of pool matches of the SCC Premier Division Championship, which is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC), Pepsi Deccan Knights thrashed Lothers by 249 runs here recently.
Pepsi Deccan Knights racked up 308-3. Sohail whacked 69 runs in 22 balls and Mazher hit 77 in 35 balls. The two added 138 in 54 balls for the first wicket, while Ather Abdul Quddus scored 52 in 14 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Afroz coming at No. 4 made an unbeaten 29 in just 12 balls. Najeeb hammered an unbeaten 60 in mere 16 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours as his fifty took only 14 balls. Mushtaq claimed 3-53. Lothers, in response, could make only 59 and lost the match by 249 runs. Akbar, main wrecker for Pepsi, took 4-27, Sajjad 2-2 in 5 balls and Athar Abdul Quddus 1-8.
AOT won against Hala Friends by 11 runs. AOT piled up 200-9, thanks to Faisal Mehmood who scored 72 in 32 balls with 12 fours. Faiq Habeeb made an unbeaten 85 in 36 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours as the two added 98 runs. Aqeel hit 19. Samer took 2-4, Khalid Iqbal 2-41, Zeeshan 2-39, Nadeem 2-43 and Wajahat 1. Hala Friends, in reply, managed 189-5 as Hassan Malik scored 36, Anees Malik 55 in 28 balls and Niaz 34. Imran Yusuf claimed 3-31 and Qaiser Lateef 2-34.
IDB prevailed over Al-Ghamdi Cricket Stars by 19 runs. IDB produced 171-8 as Khalid Butt made 84 in 42 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes, Ramazan 18 and Waseem 19. Adnan Bhatti grabbed 3-19, Nadeem Shaha 3-23, while Mustafa Gulam and Usman got one each. Al-Ghamdi, in reply, managed 152 for 9. Mustafa Gulam slammed 51 in 36 balls with 7 hits to the fence, while Ali Anser compiled 23 and Faisal 17. Khalid Butt took 3-26, Hashim Khan 2-24, Babar 2-33, Farooq and Zeeshan one each.
SCC Afternoon Cup
Fuchs Alhamrani defeated Elaf Advance by 5 wickets. Elaf Advance posted 160-7 with Ehteshaam hitting 35, Azeem 23 and Usman 44. Mansoor took 2-20 and Irfan 2-30. Fuchs Alhamrani successfully chased the target (164-5) in 104 balls, thanks to Abdul Gafoor who blasted exactly 100 in 50 balls with 11 fours and 5 sixes. Nasir Khan made 28. Waqas took 2-18.
Jotun Paints downed Zultrack by 61 runs. Jotun Paints piled up 210-6 as Shabbir Ahmed hammered an unbeaten 117 in 53 balls with 14 fours and 4 sixes, Mazhar 20 and Saleem 22. Umair took 2-22. Zultrack could manage only 149-6. Mudassar Gulab topscored with 38, Anas Ali 29 and Abbas 31. Shahzad took 3-28.
Nestle Milo lost to Al-Mabani by 7 wickets. Nestle Milo produced 154-6 through Ejaz Butt (36), Imran (24), Azeem (26) and Bilal Malik (24). Usman Gulab took 2-25. While chasing Al-Mabani was home with 155 for 3 in 102 balls. Usman Gulab hit 20, while skipper Ejaz Khan remained unbeaten on 56 off 36 balls with 6 fours. Amjad cracked 6 fours to compile 44. Irfan took 2-33.
Marine Services and Limitless were declared winners against Pak Eagles and APF, respectively, on walkover basis.
