JEDDAH — United Cricket Club, AOT Youngsters, Al-Safri-XI, Contraco, Hala International School and AMI Juffali won over their rivals in the Hyundai Naghi WPCA Afternoon Tournament here recently. United Cricket Club (UCC) was all out for 152 against Lothers. Shahnawaz fought a lone battle with 58 (2 sixes and 5 fours). Sarfaraz made 19. Aijaz bowled magnificently to take 4-34. Shiboo claimed 2-19 and Mahagir 2-27. Lothers CC, in reply, was out for 67 as Erfan Ghulam scalped 3-23 and Nasir 3-17. AOT Youngsters batted first against Hala Blue and put up 186-6 through Pervez (41 in 21 balls), Gulam Malik (37) and Salman (25). Umair took 2-25 and Raafe 2-42. In reply, Hala Academy Blue stumbled to 54 for 5. Ramazan fought for an unbeaten 80 in 56 balls with one six and 5 fours and Shuja made 17. Salman grabbed 5-29 and Rafeeq 2-19. Al-Safri-XI, batting against Zultrack, slumped to 27-4 but later Muneeb hit an unbeaten 40, Imran scored 38, Waseeq Sherwani 22 and Aftab Malik 19 to tally 157-7. Yaseen claimed 2-30. Zultrack started the chase handsomely with opening pair putting on 80 in 54 balls but once Usman (37) and his partner Omer Mukhtar (53 — 3 sixes and 6 fours) departed Zultrack wickets fell like nine pins to be bowled out for 142. Shakeel brought Zultrack down with 3-21 and Wasiq Sherwani grabbed 2-30. Rehan did magnificently behind the wicket to claim 4 victims. Master CC batted first against Contraco. Hisham made 34 and Mustafa and Junaid hit an identical 17 to get to 124. Shahbaz claimed 2-21, Asif 2-19 and Sami 2-23. Contraco achieved the victory in 103 balls with 6 wickets in hand. Irfan Aziz scored an unbeaten 43 in 28 balls, Sami hit 29 and Shahbaz 22. Alhamrani Fuchs elected to bat first against Hala School and lost wickets at regular intervals to be bundled out for 96. Irfan Anjum made 19. Bilal took 3-18, Ibraheem 2-14 and Abid 2-19. Hala International School stormed to 100 in 93 balls with 6 wickets in hand as Anas Malik hammered 3 sixes and 2 fours in his unbeaten 38. Atif made 20. Maqbool took 2-22. AMI Juffali was declared winner against Pak Makkah-XI.
