Smooth sailing for Dopco and Zultrack

JEDDAH — Dopco Young Stars, Zultrack, Limitless, Jotun Paints, Hala Academy Blue and Nestle Milo cruised to victory in the Afternoon MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah Tournament, which is sponsored by MoneyGram, organized by Saudi Cricket Centre and managed by WPCA.
Marine Services was bowled out for 134 against Dopco Young Stars. Shakeel fought a lone battle with an unbeaten 69 with a six and 8 fours. Waqas, Adil, Omer and Jamshed claimed 2 wickets each. Dopco Young Stars achieved victory with 136 for the loss of 2 wickets. Afzal remained unbeaten on 62 with 5 fours and 4 sixes. He added 85 runs with skipper Mohammed Yasir, who scored 50 not out with 3 sixes and 5 fours.
Zultrack, batting first, piled up 178-5 against debutant Hyundai. Usman Gulab blasted 85 off 46 balls with a six and 11 fours. He added 100 runs with Tauseef (37). Wahaj scalped 2-25. Hyundai could make only 154-8 to lose by 24 runs. Wahaj hit 25, Ayaz 28 and Wajid 35. Bilal Iqbal took 2-26.
Elaf Advance put on 135-6 against Limitless. Ali hit 30, Omer 28, Ashraf 23 and Hasnain 23 not out. Nadeem Shabbir took 2-21 and Raza 2-26. Limitless reached the winning post of 136 for 3. Usman Ali smashed 60 with 2 sixes and 9 fours and Fahad Sulaiman remained unbeaten on 36. Azeem took 2-28.
Fuchs Alhamrani posted 150-8 thanks to Saqib hammering 4 sixes and 3 fours for his unbeaten 51. Khooban hit 28. Hassan took 2-16, Aijaz 2-28 and Yusuf 2-34. Jotun Paints, in reply, was home with 151-3. Skipper Shafeeq blasted 73 runs off 33 balls with 2 sixes and 10 fours, while Imran hit 34 as the two added 112 runs. Abdulrazzaq took 2-26.
Thales Group, opting to bat first, scored 150-8. Amir Shahzad and Asif hit 35 each. Awais Ahmed took 3-25, Azeem 2-21 and Adalat 2-37. Nestle Milo lost wickets early to be tottering at 76-4, but Abdullah Zahid smashed 6 sixes and 3 fours for his match-winning unbeaten innings of 59. Azeem remained unbeaten on 21 as Nestle Milo reached 153-4. Taqiurrehman took 2-11.
Hala Academy Blue put on 191 for 3. Hafiz Shahzad hammered 12 fours to compile 76, while Mohammed Khan remained unbeaten on 60 as they added 135 runs in 83 balls. Abdulaleem added 36. Asian Plastic Factory, in reply, was stranded at 156-3 as Maqsood contributed 48 off 34 balls, Mohsin 20 and Murtuza 47 not out. Abdulrafay took 2-34.
Al-Safri-XI, batting first, managed 152-8 despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Waqas hit 27, Muneeb 22 and Imran 19. Jamil took 2-29 and Yaser 2-33.
Lother's, in reply, was restricted to 126 to lose by 26 runs. It lost 5 wickets for 5 runs. Nabeel hit 27, Badushah 26 and Faizal 21 not out. Zafar took 3-22 and Manjeet Kumar 3-13.
