As long as this remains a society soaked in entitlement, indulgence and superiority complexes, and as long as people here believe that it is beneath them to clean up after themselves, this will not be a clean place. Imposing laws will never change people from within. Only education and a shift in cultural perception will do that, and that will take a long time. Mandi Lynn If you love something, you do not dirty it or ruin it in any way. The country you live in is one you should love, as you work on its land and are fed on the land. Even if you do not hold its nationality, you should still give the land respect. It is disappointing to see bags and bottles, cans and paper on the floor, in empty land plots, on highways, on mountains. It is just terrible. Saudi laws should be severe on this. in Calgary, Canada, they were trying to put an end to this, so they increased the fines for people throwing things on the ground. One man threw a piece of chewing gum from his mouth onto the floor and he was fined $400. These days garbage is rarely seen on the streets of Calgary. Noor Ul Ain Butt Cleanliness should be learned at home. Otherwise mere lectures are fruitless. I see many local people who throw their garbage in the middle of the road ignoring environmental hazards. Strict laws should be implemented to punish people who simply don't take care of the environment. Abdulsamad MK
