It is not just Saudis, it is also other Arabs and other expats from Africa, India, Pakistan and other countries. One day I went to a family park in Riyadh and the amount of dirt there was incredible. People were sitting among garbage and kids were playing in it! Most of the people were expats. One day we went to Yamamah, it was so filthy we drove for 40 minutes to find a less dirty spot. It took me 40 minutes with the kids to clean the area. It is heartbreaking to see Muslims, who are taught to be clean, acting in such a way. The playground at times I feel is like a wasteland. I gathered some kids together to clean it up. Other children made fun of them and called them cleaners, and kept throwing waste all over the area again. My kids are not used to this and it was really an eye-opener for me too. It is sad that people don't realize that cleanliness is part of Islam our own religion. Looking at the beautiful red sand dunes breaks my heart when I see how people are not interested in preserving them; they are full of waste. Tunde Brazlik
