The Scout and Guides activities are part of school curriculum. The school administration said that these activities are meant to develop leadership qualities and good citizenship. “Indian Boy Scouts have always worked in collaboration with Arabian scouts in all camps and community services. IIS-Jubail feels proud to have the largest number of boy Scouts and girl Guides in their school.” The orientation program was held for cub masters and flock leaders and was successfully conducted by IIS-Jubail.Indeed it was a paramount step towards the proficiency of the trainee cub masters and flock leaders. MC member B.S Raju inaugurated the training camp. Chief Commissioner Laik Ali was delighted to see perfect learning environment through the activities conducted on different basis such as KIMS sensory games, first-aid, clay modeling, knots, sing song session, storytelling and passive games. He addressed the trainees and updated them of the scout activities with words of encouragement. Principal IIS -Jubail, Dr. Syed Hameed as Training Commissioner shared his vast knowledge about Scout-Guide movement and focused on basic activities of the training program. A large number of books on scout, guides, cubs, bulbuls, craft items prepared by students were displayed. Joint secretary Mrs. Zahara Tasneem and her team of Guide captains made this event a big success. Cooperation of scout masters was appreciable. A total of 50 teachers from IIS-Dammam, Al-Muna International, Al-Khozama, Sun Shine School and IIS Jubail took part in the program. The school Managing Committee Chairman Mr. Mohammed Taher Mohiuddin presented certificates and mementos to all the teacher participants. — SG
