IISR, IISD share top honors in 2010 Cluster Meet Games

International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) and International Indian School Dammam (IISD) shared top honors in the XX Cluster Meet Games 2010 of the CBSE-affiliated Indian Schools in Saudi Arabia which was held at the International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) here last week.
Competitions were held in badminton (boys and girls), volleyball (boys) and football (boys). Badminton games were conducted in three age groups (under 14, 16 and 19) while volleyball and football had only one division as under 19.
IISR and IISD shared eight championship titles equally and won one first runner-up and one second runner-up positions each. Other than IISR and IISD who enjoyed the podium finish included IISJ, IIS Jubail and New Middle East International School Riyadh.
Salah Karadan, Chairman of the School Managing Committee, other MC members and school officials graced the closing ceremony.
Syed Masood Ahmed, IISJ Principal, welcomed the guests, students and teachers of the participating schools.
Ghouse Mohiuddin, general secretary and senior physical education teacher of IISJ, presented a report. Ghouse, manager of IIS Jubail squad, and Reddy, senior manager of IIS Riyadh squad, expressed their views on the occasion.
Rasheed Alikkal, senior physical education teacher of IIS Jeddah, proposed a vote of thanks.
